SLIDER

It's official

Wednesday, December 29, 2010
Jason and I are the best parents ever, and I have proof!  Sydney was upstairs working on something, she told us to stay down here.  Then, once she was ready, she instructed us to come upstairs together.

We were greeted at the top of the stairs by the Zhu Zhu pets, set out in a nice display...

The note states that we are the best parents, we knew that, but it's nice to make it official...

And then, as we came around the corner, we were greeted with two cuties!

(Brooke spent quite a bit of time on that scribble masterpiece)

They were supposed to be Christmas Trees

Sunday, December 26, 2010
Khalil is in town for the holiday break, so my sister and I wanted to do something fun with all 4 kiddos.  We went for a fun game of bowling, and then back to our house to make cupcakes.  I got these cute little Christmas tree molds at Target, and we were all so excited.  Things never turn out how they are supposed to though, they started to break & crumble as we took them out of the molds :(.  Thankfully, the kids didn't care...plenty of frosting and lots of colorful decorations were all they needed.

I told them they could eat one of the cupcakes...but FIRST, they need to go outside, too messy to eat indoors.  And, SECOND, they must all sit and smile until I get a good picture, THEN they were allowed to eat the messy cupcakes :)

Are they cute, or what?

More rainy day fun

Tuesday, December 21, 2010
It has been raining, and raining, and raining...and we have been in the house for DAYS.  Long days.  So, yesterday we decided to forget the rain and head out to play anyway.  The girls loved it.

It's wet!

The Christmas lights are starting to sag :(

More from jammie day

Sunday, December 19, 2010
Brooke and I walked into class with Sydney to get ready for the class party, it was quite chaotic with wound up children who were ready to party. All of a sudden I hear the teacher announce how she likes that one of her students was following directions and knew what she was supposed to do on a Friday morning. I look over, and there is my sweet Sydney focused on her math book (the ONLY kid doing math). Up on the board it said to open their math books and do page 8...and that she did :)

After a nice big breakfast feast and a fun craft, it was time for the book exchange. Of course, Sydney had to have her best buddy right in her lap...

And she helped her do all the passing...it is so sweet how much she loves her sister...

As brooke and I walked out we went through this giant leaf storm...it looked so cool, so we (ok, I) decided to stop and get a picture of Brooke in the middle of all those flying leaves. Those leaves you see on the ground were all in the sky just moments before this shot, but as we waited & waited, nothing happened. Brooke got tired of waiting, she picked up some leaves and threw them for me. Good enough!

Cutest Jammie Girls Ever

Saturday, December 18, 2010
Yesterday was pajama day at Sydney's school. She wanted to wear her "candy cane" jammies. And, of course, so did little sis. I thought they were pretty darn cute, and then my thoughts were confirmed as nearly every person commented on how cute they were :).

She's not giving up on the puppy!

Tuesday, December 14, 2010
Sydney wrote this note to Santa in class the other day, addressed envelope even.  I guess we'll send it, but I warned Santa...no puppies.  NO PUPPIES!

Santa!

Monday, December 13, 2010
We made it to Santa's house tonight!  Everyone had a blast.  We were at the mall this morning and Brooke wanted nothing to do with Santa, so this took some prep work.  We strategically told her she could sit on the opposite side of the sleigh, with Sydney by her side, and she did great!

Brooke told Santa she wants a bed for her babies.  Sydney wants either a Barbie Jet, another elf, or a puppy.  I had a serious talk with Santa about ignoring the puppy request!!!  Colton just wants legos.

Here are the 3 cuties and Santa!  Just 12 days until he visits us!

There is so much that I love about this...

Saturday, December 11, 2010
I love that she insisted on wearing this tutu all day, even when dance was over.

I love that we came outside to play and wait for Sydney, but all she wanted to do was hit the music button on her play car over & over & over so that she could dance.

I love that while she's dancing she's still holding the oatmeal cookie that the neighbor gave her.

I love her sense of rhythm, and how darn cute she is!

I had 10 more images in this sequence, but the free animated gif maker would only allow 10.  It would have been SO cute with all of them!  Oh well, still love it...

Note: if it's not animated, you may have to click to see her shake her booty!

Don't mind me...

I'm just hangin' out in a tiny stroller that's intended for little baby dolls...I don't see any problem with this.  My legs are tired.

Bunny love

Wednesday, December 1, 2010
Brooke LOVES animals!  And, at the RB Inn for Thanksgiving they had pony rides & a petting zoo.  Brooke was thrilled to hold the bunny.  Pony ride pictures to come, if I can get through my giant picture to-do list.

A fun senior portrait session

Monday, November 29, 2010
I had fun with a gorgeous High School senior yesterday in Balboa Park.  She was such a sport, through the freezing weather, and my 300 spots I wanted to try out, she just kept on smiling.  She's at such a fun time of her life, and it was fun to just hang out with her for an hour and get some gorgeous pictures.  Here are a few sneak peeks...there are many more to come!

She likes to boogie

Saturday, November 27, 2010
We were outside trying to take a few pictures of Jason's robot for school, and the little miss wanted to steal the show.  She brings out toys that play music just so she can dance.  She'll hit the button, run out and dance, then come right back and start over again.  It's quite amusing.

So, here she is, by her request, pictures of her dancing...

A special day at school

Friday, November 26, 2010
Last Friday was a very special day for Sydney at school, it was...

Grand Persons's Day!
Sydney got in front of her class to introduce her special Grandma.
She said "This is my Grandma, and she likes plants."  We figure she had no idea what Grandma really likes to do, but since she has many plants on her balcony it was a pretty good spur of the moment answer!

November was the month of gratitude for her school, I thought this note that was hanging up was pretty sweet.  I wonder who all of the fabulous pets are though.  And, I wonder why it always happens that they take the important pictures on our craziest of hair days!

I've ruined them!

Thursday, November 25, 2010
I ask them to go stand together in front of this gate, and this is what I get...

Love it.  They are so goofy, so posed, and so darn cute.  We had a fabulous Thanksgiving with our closest family.  The girls got to go on two pony rides, and pet some bunnies, chickens, and goats.  I dressed them in their Xmas card outfits, it hopes of getting a cute picture of each girl for our wall.  Got one of Syd, got a fabulous pouting picture of Brooke.  Oh well, we will try again.

The Girl Scout troop

Wednesday, November 24, 2010
Here they are, just before their big rock climbing adventure (plus an extra big brother, Griffin). Sydney is having so much fun this year, the girls are all getting to know each other so well, and they are doing a ton of fun activities. Next month is a practice camp out!

Smile, Mommy!

Monday, November 22, 2010
We got some new funky camera thingies in the mail today, so I asked Sydney to take a picture of me with my camera-phone so I could text it to Tricia.  I ended up taking a picture of her taking my picture right as the flash went off...came out kinda cool!

Making progress...

Sunday, November 21, 2010
Oh man, so many photos, so many holiday cards! I was slightly thankful for the rainy weekend of cancellations so that I can get closer to being caught up! I think I will be mostly caught up by Thanksgiving, with no more photoshoots until Sunday, so I can relax and enjoy a few computer-free days! Yippee.

Here is the current family I am editing photos for...another set of three kids, all boys, the two younger ones are twins. Here they are doing their hear no, speak no, see no evil interpretation:

The day after...

Saturday, November 20, 2010
This is what you get with 4 kiddos the morning after the parents stay up way too late drinking beer & champagne!

I'm noticing a trend...

Monday, November 15, 2010
I just realized...from the last 5 family photoshoots I have done, the families have all had 3 children...every single one.  Strange, very, very strange.  I'm good with two!

Here are 3 adorable ones from our Help Patrick event yesterday:

Hula-ing the night away!

It's silhouette week over at I Heart Faces this week, I love silhouettes! I have all these grand ideas for shots I wanted to get out and take, but with 7 photoshoots this past weekend, 2 playdates, dance, and soccer today, I'm thinking my camera won't make it back out of its cozy bag.

This is one of my favorites of Sydney though, hula hooping the night away. I figured it was a fun one to share.

I'm sure there will be a ton of amazing silhouettes this week, check them out over here:

She loves me!

A picture from our weekend away in Temecula.  Aren't we adorable?

So many pictures!

Wednesday, November 10, 2010
It is the BUSY season for Mamarazzi!  On top of all of the usual family photo rush, we also did two weddings last month.  So, every spare moment of my days have been spent working on pictures, LOTS of pictures.  Here is a peek from the current set I'm working on.  The oldest boy went to preschool with Sydney, and now the middle one goes with Brooke, so we've known them for a while.  We had fun with pictures in downtown San Diego.  Mom has her hands full with these adorable 3 boys!

A cool activity

Monday, November 8, 2010
We went by Home Depot the other day, and they had a big setup in the parking lot. The girls each got to make their own race car (hammer & nails, and all!). Then, they took a complimentary photo for us, here it is!

This is exciting!

Sunday, November 7, 2010
Ok, it's probably only exciting to engineering geeks...AND, the wife who wants her life back.  This is the robot that Jason and his senior engineering team are building...it moves now!  Soon it will move and navigate all on its own, and have a body on top.

It has grown a lot since I last saw it here at home, so I am very excited to see the progress (and to see that his multitude of hours away from home are paying off).

Jason's new love

Tuesday, November 2, 2010
I've been replaced. He spends all day with him, he takes him everywhere he goes, and when he gets home he goes into the garage to spend more time with him.

His name is "Johnny 6", and he's Jason's senior engineering robot.  This is just the base.  Ultimately it will be  a complete robot that can navigate on its own, and avoid obstacles.  Jason has done every bit of this so far...I'm not sure what the other 6 team members are doing, but he is having a lot of fun with it.

Can't wait for this semester to be complete!!

The ladybug & the cow girl

Monday, November 1, 2010
There they are, ready to hit the streets for some candy!

Lots of pumpkin patch pics!

Thursday, October 28, 2010
Today our Girl Scout troop went to the Pinery pumpkin patch. The leader said the kids could wear costumes, but only my girls and Grace actually did. Brooke (well, maybe Mommy) was all cow-girled out, so we went for Ariel to change things up.

The adventure started with yummy gooey bright green cupcakes!

Brooke and Syra had a lot of fun checking out the goats,

and climbing and throwing hay :/

The kids thought this goat was coming to give kisses, but he was really after Sydney's antlers :)

We all got to do a corn maze. Syd took off with her friends, and Brooke and I, well, we got lost :(. Brooke was running and screaming "big kids, wait for us!", but they got completely out of the maze and we ended up going back to the beginning. So sad. I guess that's what I get for making her stop to try to get a cool picture.

After the corn maze it was time for a hay ride. Here's the whole gang, minus just one girl (and a few extra siblings, of course):

Then it was time for pumpkins! Sydney found the perfect one...

Brooke thought this one was about her right size...

But that poor little guy got dropped when she decided she was super strong enough to get this one:

We had to give the cute scarecrow a little love...

And, pose for another picture together:

And then, change our mind just ONE more time until we find the perfect lil punkin...

He is her new best buddy, snuggled up tight in her room right next to her bed. Awww.
