...a Girl Scout Brownie!!

During the last week of school, it was also our "Bridging to Brownies" party. Our leader had us over for a pool party at her house, and the girls had so much fun.

Here are the girls as child is in an interesting posing for the camera phase:

Sydney ripping out of her daisy vest to put on her brownie one:

And, the graduated brownies! (Most of them were more intrigued by the blue stringy stuff than the picture taking)

Here's my cute little brownie girl!

She looks like she's about to give a little strip tease, doesn't she?

One more before I go!

I'm off to Vegas, yippee! I am so thankful to have a hubby who can handle the girls on his own for 3 days, he even is taking on Chuck E. Cheese Birthday party duty!

Here's Brooke with some serious baby doll pushing, they have somewhere important to get to!

Day 3: Pajama Day!

Tuesday, June 22, 2010
I am playing catch up from last week. We had WAY to many things going on. But, I took a ton of pictures along the way, so this week we will have plenty of blogging!

The third day of spirit week was pajama day...and of course we had to style the hair to go with it:

Brooke had a playdate at the splash pad, fun, fun! We just barely squeezed her into last year's bathing suit. And, she's ready to go with backpack and taggie coming along too:

It's me!

The downside to being the family photographer is that I am NEVER in any pictures! Yesterday Shawn and I met up with our next wedding couple, and did some test shots out at the Sheraton on Harbor Island. Here I am in action :)

My kids make me giggle!

This was our morning today. I was getting everything ready to go, packing snacks, etc. Sydney was dancing, while Brooke was dribbling the beach ball around her sis. I'm wondering if perhaps there is hope for an athlete?

With 5 girls playing...

Tuesday, June 15, 2010 can be LOUD! Oh, but so much fun. Sydney had 3 of her buddies over today to practice for a mini talent show that is going on in music class tomorrow. Sydney organized the "rehearsal", which lasted all of 5 minutes, and then it was onto BARBIES!! Of course little Miss B has absolutely no idea that she isn't part of the pack.

Day 2 of Spirit Week

Backwards day!

Crazy Hair Day

Monday, June 14, 2010
It's a fun last week of school for Sydney, spirit week! Today was crazy hair day...

And don't forget the picture of me, Mommy! Jammies and yogurt girl...

Sydney said it wasn't the real Tinkerbell

Saturday, June 12, 2010
And how can she tell? Well, because the "real" Tinkerbell has blue eyes, this one had BROWN! Oh man, deception. She suspects that this imposter borrowed Tinkerbell's outfit for the day. Tinkerbell must have been busy.

Regardless, Sydney enjoyed her time with the fairy. And Brooke, well, she really liked that cute baby!

Thus the name "Mamarazzi"

Wednesday was Brooke's last day of Fishy class. I have been wanting to hang out and spy all year, but never gave up my free time to do it, so I decided I better stay on the last day. The kids line up to walk to the playground and I keep hearing about how cute it is. I just had to see for myself.

So, thanks to my super huge lens, I was able to be across the grass at the other side of the school, behind a fence and some bushes...Brooke had no clue I was there, whew!

Here they go! Cutest darn thing...they sing fishy songs as they walk :)

They're getting closer! Gracie actually spotted me, and pointed, but luckily Brooke didn't catch on...shhh...

Brooke headed straight for the swings, and waited patiently for help getting up.

Then, she had a great time! It was so fun to see how she is without me around. She did great!

Digital Plastic Surgery

Botox, teeth whitening, and hair coloring too...If only this was possible in real life! I've been having lots of fun with some head shots I took on Monday afternoon. Here are the before & after shots:

Note the hair on this one...learned a new trick:

How can it be?!

My big girl is just about finished with 1st grade, just two weeks left! I realized that means 2nd grade is coming, but wow, reality really set in when I read this note from her teacher yesterday on her homework...

She is so ready for second grade. How did that happen? She's becoming such a big kid. I am so proud of her, she has come so far. We were a little nervous about her writing early on in the school year, but she has improved dramatically in that area too. Check out her lady bug writing, which came home along with the homework:

So, she's ready for 2nd grade, I'm not sure I can say the same about her Mom.

She's getting so big!

Here's my big girl, just before her dress rehearsal last Friday. She looks way too grown up. She needs to stop growing now.

I'm glad I'm not a cow!

Oh man, those flies would drive me BONKERS!

We saw this cute guy on our drive out from the Lavendar Farm. He was RIGHT there, we could have pet him. He was very cute, other than the flies surrounding his poor little nose.

An interesting way to eat a hot dog

And Jason's opinion on me bringing the camera to the dinner table...rude...

Our family self-portrait

Last night we were up in my bathroom, after drying the girls hair, and for some reason we all sat down, a girl in each of our laps. I looked in the mirror and realized we were posed for a family portrait. So, I grabbed my phone real quick and took a pic in the mirror! If only the girls would smile and look like this for a real one!
