at last....graduation!

Tuesday, May 31, 2011
This was a big day. We waited for this day for a long time. Through two children being born, through moving to a new house, AND working full-time.  It took a while, but he made it.  It was an exciting day!

The first part of the graduation ceremony was in the huge Viejas arena, hundreds of graduates marched in as we looked for them on the big screen.  We spotted Jason!  He was on the phone with me, while I took his picture...

Thankfully, his buddy Brad wore a blue Mickey Mouse graduation cap, it made it easy to track down Jason...

So after we listened to all the general speeches, the engineers were sent off into the Open Air theatre.  So, again, we watched him walk in, right in front of Mickey.

And then he spotted us...

And, he got his diploma!

His parents were very proud.

And now, we are enjoying are new school-free life.  He's home early every day, he picks up Sydney from school, and we get to have family's great!

I have pictures to share

I just need to get myself focused on pictures.  Here's a hint of what I have...a big, big event for our family...

We're going to miss them!

Monday, May 23, 2011
Mimi & Papa had to fly home today. Sydney was SO upset. We are glad they made it out for Jason's big day, and the big party, and we hope to go visit them again soon!

We had a fun little bonfire out in the backyard, and did a real quick picture of the girls and the Grandparents before they left. The one on our wall is over 3 years old, Brooke was itty bitty...time to update!

Enjoying having another Papa in town!

This is what you get when you leave two kids alone with a case full of water, and a case full of Coke to put away in the cupboard...the water was put away so nicely, but the Coke...

It's teacher appreciation week at our school

Sydney made these cards for her teachers all by herself.  I think she did a great job.

Cellphone Memories

Tuesday, May 10, 2011
My phone memory filled up today, which meant I had to clear off all the old photos.  It always sends me down memory lane, looking through all the old pictures.  I capture many of our everyday activities and silly stuff via my cellphone, since I just don't always have my "big camera" with me.

This particular picture makes me giggle.  We went to Old Navy to grab a couple of things, and Sydney asked if she could go see the mannequins while I stood in line.  I looked over at her, and she was pretending to be one of them!  Every time a customer would walk through the door she stood perfectly still to see if she could fool them.  She did this for a very long time.

Can you find Sydney? :) :)

The butterflies liked me!

Sunday, May 8, 2011
Sydney's class went to the Wild Animal Park last Friday to go see the butterflies.  My girls SO badly wanted one to land on them.  Sydney stood there as still as she could waiting, and waiting, and then tears arose when none would land on her.  Brooke stood still and waited, but then as soon as a butterfly got near her she chased it with her finger.  That just didn't work so well.

But, the butterflies did land on me a few times!  This was as close as Brookie got to get to having one on her...

But seriously, who looks this pretty when they're sick?  I sure don't.  My poor girl.  I knew we were doomed when during her class field trip all of the kids went off to run in the grass and Syd chose to lay her head in my lap.  That is when you know she's S.I.C.K....not good.

Big feet, little feet

Wednesday, May 4, 2011
Twin feet!  Both girls had on their Converse yesterday, standing outside waiting to leave for was too cute to not capture!  Brooke is wearing her toddler size 7 Converse that she's had for at least a year now.  I think her feet are stuck at this size. Sydney's wearing a big kid 1 1/2, her feet are growing a size every few months, I can't keep up.

Just a pretty girl

Growing so fast, thinking she's so much older than she is, wishing she was as big as her sister, counting down the days until she's 4 (just 3 months!), so that she can then turn 5.  And, she makes us giggle all day long!

Baby Flowers

Sunday, May 1, 2011
The Easter Bunny brought the girls little pots and seeds to grow flowers.  They of course were dying to get them potted as quickly as possible.  And,yesterday we noticed a tiny baby flower starting to sprout up!  Oh, so exciting!
