Mommy brag time

I was cleaning off my kitchen post-stuff board, and had to capture a couple of shots to show off my smart kids.  First off, Miss Sydney, got 100% on every weekly spelling test except one!  She got a 95% on one test because she put an apostrophe in the word "says".  She even tried to erase it, but the teacher marked off 1/2 point for that darn apostrophe...SO close to an absolute perfect score ALL year long.  Wow.

And then there's Miss Brooke, who finished her first year of preschool.  At the start of the year she barely spoke to her teachers.  Ms Lugo would get excited if she just asked for help.  She grew a lot throughout the year, and her end of year progress report had a very nice note from her teacher...

Last year was a great year for both girls!  Now we're gearing up for 3rd grade, and one more year of preschool!

We're still here!

Things have been busy!  Things like playdates, beach trips, weekends at the river, days at the water park, drives up to LA to shop at American Girl, slumber parties, BBQs, etc. have been giving us a very fun-filled (but busy!) Summer.  Thus, not a lot of time to post pictures. 

But...today is quiet (whew!).  We're doing things like coloring...

She colored that entire page, which is wonderful, as I got laundry & dishes done, I cleaned the bathroom, AND, posted pictures! :)

Today has also involved a lot of computer playing, with a new subscription to Pixie Hollow online...

Tomorrow will be back to the busies though, we start 3 weeks of back to back camp, Birthday celebrations, out of town guests, high school reunions, little things like that...

Happy 4th of July!

We've had a busy start to our holiday, we marched in the Scripps Ranch parade with Sydney's Girl Scout troop!  We're home for a short nap, and then off to our next adventure!

Big time

She can SEE over the counter in the bathroom now, WITHOUT a stool.  Wow, she was so excited, she did a little boogie woogie and sang a song about it, "and I'm not even 4 yet...woooo hooo!" 

We're so lucky to live here

Just 20 minutes, and we get to be here!

Yesterday was a PERFECT beach day, so nice, the kids had a blast.
