Sydney's 1st Band Performance

Sydney has been learning to play the Clarinet at school.  Tonight was her first official band performance.  She's not really loving band, so I didn't think ahead and bring a camera or anything important like that.  Thankfully one of her buddies Mom's shared one pic with me!

Yesterday was our Mini Mermaid running group.  The girls did a practice 5k race.  I had Brooke with me, and we hadn't really considered that factor when I let her wear her snow boots to school, whoops!  So, she ran about 5 laps with her sister...barefoot!  Oh well.  They had fun ;)

My Sporty Nephew

He's awesome at every sport he does.  This is his first year trying basketball, and he's amazing!  Go Coltey go!

It's been a while...

Not a lot of picture-taking going on around here, need to change that! Here are a couple of my poor battered up kid, after her first softball clinic. She was very excited about the clinic, and was so into it up until the very end...they had the kids run off to 2nd base...whoops, crash! Such a bad crash that she tumbled sideways, hit her arm, and then her poor cheek :(. She did not want anything to do with softball after that incident. She buried her head in Daddy's shoulder so no one would see her wounded face. So sad. But, she's better now, yay!

Dear Santa...

We went with some friends to Santa's House last night (he has a remote location in Poway).  First the girls wrote their notes to Santa and ship them off to the official North Pole.

The pics aren't great because it was so dark.  Brooke wrote that whole note herself, she only asked how to spell "scooter"...she is learning so much, so quickly!

A Holiday Playdate

We had a fun day yesterday.  Sydney had asked if we could make gingerbread houses.  So, we decided to turn it into a playdate and invite a few friends from her class.  We orginally had scheduled for last Wednesday, but then illness fell upon the Griffin house, so we had to push it back one week.  We were thankful to have a healthy crew yesterday!
