There are so many little skills that kids learn as they grow. Some of them just seem to click out of nowhere. We have always been so excited as Sydney picked things up, like bike riding, crossing the monkey bars, and now hula hooping. The last time I remember her trying at a store, the hoop dropped straight to the ground. And now, without any guidance she just knows how to do it. So of course, Daddy bought her one :).
And, you know there is a story behind the jeans...she got a new movie the other night and wanted to watch it before bed. I just felt like having her wear pants for a change, so I told her if she promised to wear pants the next day she could stay up a little late and watch the movie. Can you believe she had to seriously think about it? She tried to back out of it the next day too.
