The fruits of her labor

This picture just makes me smile, it is a symbol of pure sweet innocence in my cute Sydney. We came home a couple of days ago to find our neighbors had done a ton of gardening, and were carrying out yard waste. Sydney immediately asked if she could help, and they of course said yes. She yelled, "I'll be right there!", ran into the house, and came out with her gardening gloves. She went next door on her own, and helped for about 30 minutes, then came home excited as could be with her payment of 4 lemons and a peach. She set them on the counter top, and sat down to rest, and this is exactly how I found her stuff later that afternoon:



She told me later on that she told them she would clean their house, and they could just give her one lemon per week. I might have to grow a lemon tree in my backyard so I can put her to work.

Last night she and Daddy turned those lemons into homemade lemonade...YUM!
