Fun in the mountains

We've started a tradition, we go to the snow for Jason's Birthday.  It started years ago because he can snowboard free on his Birthday, and now it's expanded into a weekend away with our good buddy neighbors.  

This year there was no snow, it was hot.  The only snow was man-made on the slopes, so at least the ski/snowboard tradition could continue.  The girls did classes.  Sydney wanted to stick with skiing, since she's pretty darn good at it.

They did a quick evaluation of her skills...

Told her to go this way, and that way, and she did.

And then she took off!  I only saw her one more time, her first pass down on the bunny slope, then she went off to the big time hills.

Brooke was determined to learn to snowboard, because she had never tried.

So, her learning was a bit slower, but she did it!

Here was my one quick peek at Syd!  I couldn't find her the rest of the lesson, I kept searching, but no Syd to be found.  I later found she was off doing tricks and such.

Brooke stayed close, in the "Little Bear" classes, for kids 7 and under.   They don't go far, thankfully.  I can gt pics :)

Since there was no snow out & about, none to be found, she used her class time to build a little guy.

It was another fun weekend!  We already look forward to next time!
