It's fun having two kids, and seeing how differently they react to 'big' life events. Brooke has seen Sydney bridge three times in Girl Scouts - to Brownies, Juniors, and most recently Cadette. Since Syd got to go to San Francisco for her latest bridging event, Brooke figured bridging is a pretty huge deal. She was SO excited about going across the bridge, and becoming a brownie. When we discovered that we'd be in Irvine for a softball tournament during bridging we debated what to do. We decided we couldn't miss it, and so we did a marathon morning, driving from Irvine to San Diego, back to Irvine. At the end, when Brooke exclaimed 'I didn't realize bridging would be SO much fun!" it made it all worth it :)
Here are the cute Daisies, before their bridging journey. They started with just a daisy to hold, and collected flowers as they crossed the bridge.
The leader told them to walk slowly...here is Kayla showing how well that went :)
A few more friends dashing across the bridge...
Brooke moved quickly also, but I made her stop for a pic:
Here she is, still a Daisy, but after having collected a full bouquet:
With her buddy, Syra:
Here they are as Brownies, congrats girls!!
